  Charles B Mitchell has an astonishing variety of wines. My wife and I found both white and red wines that captivated all of our senses. Wine is made to sip and enjoy but these wines were so aromatic I could not get over how much certain wines smelled like a freshly ripened peach or melon or berries waiting to be baked in a pie. I could not find any concerning or questionable scents or flavors. When the wine is so good that all you can do is say "Wow", you know you have a winner. When a wine is so good smelling and tasting you want take it home and NOT share it with your friends. This was my experience anyway...The staff were both hospitable and knowledgeable about the grapes, process of wine making, history of Charles Mitchell winery, and much more. The tasting room is a little of the beaten path but it is well worth the drive. Charles Mitchell is also generous in how he offers discounts at various times throughout the year. So, If you are looking for a fancy tasting room with granite countertops and leather couches then this is not for you. On the other hand if you are interested in tasting (for free) and purchasing some amazing wines that will blow you away then you must visit Charles B Mitchell winery.
